The USA GIRLS Midwest Nationals Open Tournament is open to all female athletes from 8U through the Junior age divisions.  Individuals will need to register separately from the Duals tournament.

 

Those registered for the duals ARE NOT automatically registered for the Open, but if they wrestle in the duals their weight carries over and they only have to

weigh-in once. But in the event of an injury you must let tournament director know to take you out of Open on day two.

The Tournament Director may combine or block any weight divisions with less than 3 athletes to optimize competition for the greatest number of athletes.

WEIGH-INS

All TIMES are Eastern Standard Time.

Wrestlers will need to weigh in ONLY ONCE for the entire weekend. Those who are participating in the duals may use their certified weight from their team registration for the Open as well. For those athletes wrestling exclusively in the Open, we will offer the option of day before weigh-ins on Saturday at the competition facility. Early weigh-ins from 4-5pm Saturday $20 CASH and 5-6pm FREE. Otherwise, wrestlers may weigh-in before the event Sunday, from 7:30-8 am, normal weigh-in procedures apply; wrestlers must present themselves in competition singlet or doublet, no shoes or socks or other gear (besides any required medical gear), and submit to a skin check at the same time. The tournament has a 1Lb. allowance for each weight class (ex., 100 lbs. may weigh 101 lbs. or less).

Saturday Oct. 5  4-5 pm $20 fee, 5-6 pm FREE

 Sunday Oct. 6  7:30-8 am

NEW 2024-2025 NFHS RULES WILL BE ENFORCED.

OVERTIME : 1 minute Neutral

first point scored wins.

If no score choice of top or bottom to wrestler who scores first, then 

30 second ride out or get out wins.

ADMISSION

 $20 Cash or Charge

 $10 coaches band (will be enforced)

8-8:45 am FREE clinic

  9 am  National Anthem, prayer,

wrestling to completion
